The Hobonichi Techo has collaborated with the V&A

The V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum, London) celebrates design and creativity in all its forms. It was founded in London in 1852 to advance cultural knowledge, and inspire makers, creators and innovators everywhere through a diverse collection of objects from around the world. Today, the V&A continues to share a 5000-year-old story of creativity, through its ever-evolving collection spanning every creative discipline, from art, design, fashion, photography and furniture to theatre, performance, architecture, and ceramics. 

Drawing from the museum’s unparalleled collections, we have created techos and stationery items inspired by the museum's objects, including designs by William Morris and his creative companions.

A6 Orginal Size Cover - Strawberry Thief

The front cover features William Morris’ 1883 textile design, Strawberry Thief, depicting thrushes cheekily stealing strawberries from Morris’ garden.

The woven label pen holder bears Morris’ famous words: “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.”

A5 Cousin Size Cover - Blackthorn

The front cover features Blackthorn wallpaper by John Henry Dearle, a close friend and collaborator of William Morris. This design celebrates spring with entwined hawthorn and blackthorn blossoms.

The back features his 1912 Leicester wallpaper design, rich with stylised foliage and botanical details.

HON A5/A6 - Vine

The cover features Vine, with ripe grape clusters entwined in lush leaves. Originally designed in 1873 for a hand-printed wallpaper, the design reflects William Morris’ love of nature and its influence on the Arts and Crafts Movement.

To reflect the artistry behind the design, the cover is printed on a canvas-like material, which preserves the sketch lines and ink variations of the original.

Pre-Order Period

• Opens: August 25
• Closes: August 31 at 11:59 PM (CEST)

All pre-orders will be placed on Hobonichi Japanese website on September 1.

Delivery

Your order will be shipped as soon as it arrives at ABJournals. The estimated delivery date is currently to be confirmed and depends on Hobonichi's shipping schedule and international delivery.

Product Availability

While I will do my best to secure every item, Hobonichi products are available in limited quantities and availability cannot be guaranteed.

If I am unable to purchase any item from your order, you will receive a full refund for that item using the original payment method.

Combining Orders

If you would like to combine multiple orders into one shipment, please contact me.

If you have already placed an order and would like to add more items, simply place a new order and leave a note (or contact me) requesting that the orders be combined. Any excess shipping charges for the combined shipment will be refunded.
